Your Charmed Life
By Andrea Conway
My friend Rob is living what most of us would call a charmed life. Only he doesn't realize it.
From spirit's point of view Rob is a good-hearted and energetic man, a devoted father, a talented freelance writer, and an inspired tennis player. His life is full of activity and enjoyment.
From Rob's point of view, he is always short of money, because freelancing doesn't pay as much as he'd like. His low-level but persistent worry about money keeps him from acknowledging the gift that is his life. It also keeps him from attracting more money.
Rob isn't the only person I know who is blind to the charms of his own precious existence. My guess is that you may be a bit like Rob. I know that I am.
Our Inner Being, which never doubts that life supports us 100 percent, is always vibrating with the blessedness that is our existence on earth. It loves our unique expression of spirit in physicality. Maybe it's time we looked at ourselves through the loving eyes of our Inner Being.
We hear so much about how gratitude and appreciation are the pathways to personal and planetary enlightenment. So we make our lists of what and who we appreciate. But we almost never think about being grateful to and appreciative of ourselves.
Start now. Make a list of ten things you appreciate about yourself. Many people find this difficult to do because it feels like bragging. I say: brag a little. Remember that everything is sourced in spirit. Your assets aren't really about you at all. They are your way of expressing spirit in physical form. Your talent for guitar playing isn't about you. It's about the spirit of guitar playing being expressed through you, in service to the whole.
Anyway, no one has to see your list but you. So start writing.
As you learn to appreciate the true charm and adventure of your life, as seen through the eyes of spirit, you will attract more and more circumstances that reflect how blessed you really are.
